Gorgeous start to 2015

After a very cold, clear night we convened for the first working party of the year in heavy frost, and feet and hands were numb.

But they soon warmed up with the effort involved in moving cut reeds to the periphery of the site. The sun was bright and wonderful, but the cool air meant that we didn't overheat. At the refreshment break Helen's biscuits ensured that we did overeat (see what I did there?), but there was plenty more work to do to return the balance sheet to credit.

Here is Chairman John's message:

Hello All

As a Volunteer on Southrepps Common there are times when you are truly blessed and I think this morning was one of those times.
But however much the glorious conditions helped the work along, the credit is all yours for making the morning a great success.  All who use the boardwalk, should gaze in wonder at the fabulous open space which we’ve created and appreciate all your hard work.  Thank you very much.

Kind regards
John
